Frequently Asked Questions
Reservations, groups, take‑out, parking and more.
Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are highly recommended and can be made 1 to 2 days ahead by calling 423‑757‑0088. Seating is limited, so a reservation is the best way to avoid a wait. Walk‑ins are seated in order of arrival once the whole party is present.
How large a group can you seat?
Our largest table normally seats 8, and sometimes up to 10 depending on how the room is set. For anything bigger — or to reserve the whole venue — email blueorleansdowntown@gmail.com with your date, time and group size, or see our private events page.
What are your hours?
We serve dinner Tuesday to Thursday from 4 pm to 10 pm and Friday and Saturday from 4 pm to 11 pm. We are closed Sunday and Monday. Closing times can change with occupancy or special events, so please call to confirm.
Do you offer take‑out?
Yes. Call 423‑757‑0088 to place a to‑go order. During peak service — especially 5 pm to 8:30 pm on Friday and Saturday — wait times are longer and we may pause to‑go orders, so calling earlier in the evening is best.
Do you deliver?
Blue Orleans has been available through local delivery services and Uber Eats; check the apps for current availability in your area. Catering orders can be delivered for a fee based on the drop‑off location.
Is Blue Orleans Creole or Cajun?
Both. Chef Mike grew up with Creole home cooking in New Orleans, and the menu ranges from Creole red beans & rice and shrimp Creole to Cajun‑spiced jambalaya and blackened dishes. Our Creole & Cajun guide explains the difference.
Do you have gluten‑free options?
Several dishes are naturally gluten‑free, including our sweet & sour collard greens and the chicken & andouille jambalaya side. Tell your server about any allergy or dietary need and we will point you to the best choices.
Is there a kids' menu?
Yes — mac n' cheese, kiddie shrimp or chicken pasta, and chicken tenders with kettle chips, for diners under 10.
Do you have a bar?
The Fleur de Lis Bar serves specialty cocktails, beer and wine, including Abita from Louisiana. Guests must be 21 with valid ID.
Where can I park?
Street parking is available on Market and Main Streets and the surrounding blocks, with paid lots and garages nearby around the Chattanooga Choo Choo and the Convention Center.
Do you cater?
Yes. Chef Mike does off‑site catering, party pans for pick‑up and specialty box lunches for offices. Requests need 1 to 3 days' notice — see the catering page or call or text 423‑800‑1906.
Can I book the restaurant for a private event?
Yes. The dining room and bar are available for private parties, corporate meetings, luncheons, rehearsal dinners and presentations. Terms, including the cleaning and venue fees, are listed on the private events page.
Still have a question? Call 423‑757‑0088 during store hours or email blueorleansdowntown@gmail.com.
